DANSK Roof Panel 91150308712GRV
Has anyone used this panel for installation on a car?
can't seem to insert the picture. It's a whole roof panel anyway. Last edited by plumber; 01-05-2020 at 10:12 AM.. Reason: link |

The old style ones have been discontinued. They new ones (2023) without the rear window are half the price.

I'm either blind or an idiot (let's not speculate which) but I haven't been able to find any Dansk roofs for sale for over a year. Could you post a link to the new unit? Coincidentally, I found one (original style I believe) for sale new two nights ago but they refuse to ship to the US. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have looked, and cannot find a supplier in the US. The Rennlist link leads to nowhere as well. Would be great if a US supplier started stocking these.

+1 "Buddy with factory connections" to me means it may have been a backdoor deal. Thankfully, I just picked up the last used roof section in the world . . . but options are nice to have in case the skin needs replacement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Is it not available anymore? If you google the p/n, you'll see a variety of sources that have the panel for sale. You could also search the Dansk p/n 1682001000. If you search that p/n in the Pelican catalog, it shows here as a Porsche genuine part and available in 1.5 weeks, because it comes through the Porsche network?:
https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/1682001000DSK.htm?pn=1682001000-DSK I have in transit currently via DHL Express, the roof panel coming from Belgium to Los Angeles, at a total cost including shipping just under $2000 USD, basically the same price you'd pay in Europe without shipping, because Europeans have to pay an additional 310 Euros in VAT tax, whereas US customers don't, so if no US supplier has it, not a big deal. |

The new Dansk roof only panel arrived in perfect condition. Some data and pics to archive for anyone researching the panel in the future for a sunroof delete or otherwise.
Dansk p/n: 1682002000 / Repl. No. 591030A Weight as pictured: 20.0 +/- 0.25 lbs. Thickness of metal measured with primer as arrived: 0.95mm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I mentioned to my friend that knows the Taiwan factory that we all need the short version. So they made a few of them that sold out, as shown above. Sierra Madre has one of the longer ones for $3400. The contour of the front glass is strong. Mine was welded in 1/16 forward and could only glue in a 993 Windshield. But many have always had problems with new 964 seals on windshield installs. Porsche sells the front cowl version for $6000. I Might need a 993 one. Not even sure if they make that.
