Seat belt/Brake light warning cover
I am trying to find a part number to the seatbelt/brake warning light plastic lense in an 85 911. Found mine in 2 pieces lying on the floor. The lights work, it just looks like the cover split in half and fell off.
Or maybe someone has one laying around. Thanks ![]()

Common problem. Super glue is a temporary fix. Although NLA from Porsche, ask in the classifieds, they seem to be fairly readily available.

Lens was never available separately. Part number for the light assembly is/was 944.632.213.00.
I sold my last NOS unit about a year ago. ![]()

Does this unit pull right out of the dash and not from behind? I have the same one and my seatbelt light packed it in.

Unit is removed from the front, but the retaining tabs must be released from the back.

With the radio out can you reach behind or do you have to pull a panel? I’m wondering if I can pull it out, perform surgery, and possible replace the burned out light on the board.

You dont have the remove the whole thing to get the lense off, it will pry off with it installed. Using a pair of pliers, you can remove the bulbs
But if you want to pull the whole thing out, you can access by removing the clock.....reach in with a small screw driver to release the tabs on top and you should be able the push the unit out ever so slightly from there you should be able to work it out from the front. You can not get it by removing the radio.

The cover comes off with the unit in place. 2 very small nipples, top and bottom. I super glued my broken cover and it snapped right back in. Can't see the break or the fix as it was on the long seam.
