One turn, many lines... an autocross saga.

I set up a camcorder on a tripod pointed at a single turn for a run session or two last weekend to see try to capture the many different lines people used through the turn.

http://www.momentarylaps.com/videos/autocross_hill_turn.rm

This was a PCA event at Candlestick Park last Saturday.

I'm driving the white 911 cab at the beginning and end of the clip. I personally think the best line through this right/left combo was to compromise the first turn by staying far to the [driver's] right and then turn in for a standard apex for the left, getting on the throttle early for the following straight.

There are some cool cars in this clip including a GT2 and a 356.

The second half of the clip is all spins and slides.

It is in REAL format and is 7mb.

Whaddaya think??

Dean

Nice!

While your last run was probably the most *proper*, the 2nd to last looked the coolest

Some of those guys were like "how to ya spell apex again" Not that I would do any better.

Thanks for posting, I always like your material.
