Autoheat back in action - repaired relay and controller board
A few weeks ago, the heat gave up entirely. No footwell blowers, no engine fan noise, no whine from the flapper boxes. Nothing. I did some cursory troubleshooting and it looked like it could either be the main relay or the controller. Both are expensive to replace, so I shipped the engine bay relay and the circuit board from the autoheat controller to Kris Rose for a look-see. He'd gotten my cruise control ECU back online a while back and agreed to check these two parts out as well. He replaced some components and reflowed the solder joints, and a few days later, they're reinstalled and the heat is working again. No affiliation with his site, just a satisfied customer after Kris has gone 2 for 2 for electrical repairs.

A big plus on you post. I had the same experience working with Kris. Quality work and great communication.

Thanks for letting us know. Can you share Kris’s contact info so those with auto-heat can contact him as needed? Thanks!

Kris runs Cruise Control Repair - I've had good luck emailing him directly at info@cruisecontrolrepair.com. I'm not sure what else he'd be willing to take a shot at other than cruise ECUs and autoheat components, but I wouldn't hesitate to run something else by him before I replaced something electrical.
