dash

After removing and recovering my dash - I left about 2 inches of vinyl overhang on the front edges to attach the front of the dash withe the screws like the factory install. My concerns would be that without the hold down screws the dash could rise up/ warp along the front edges. I do not see how you are going to install a "bridge" piece of vinyl between the dash edge and the base of the windshield - it needs to be one piece connected to the dash to look/function correctly.

Just my opinion.

I am pretty sure I got the same dash (but from CarPoint). It's good, but not great - quite a bit of fitting required. The outer finish is incredible, however. Most of the problems were solved by removing excess foam from the inner surfaces.

I was thinking I could tuck a piece of vinyl under the dash. Maybe even use some spray adhesive.

But then I noticed this picture in this post. There is no vinyl at the dash vents. If this is not visible why would the rest of it be? Am I missing something here.

Mostly visible at the edges of the dash at the bottom of the A pillar. install your windshield rubber an see where it needs to be covered.
