Which replacement panel is this rust in (69 E)
Is this right front gas tank lateral support panel, or the front pedal area section and would I order the replacement panel with, or without, the brackets? 1969 E

You don't want replace that panel, trust me. Just fix the rusted area and be happy.

The rust is right on the pinch weld/bead, how would you recommend repairing it so it's a good job?

Have a shop do it that's familiar with the breed. Dropping the entire front suspension probably required, but that's pretty quick and easy. Then you have access.

Agree. That is not a panel I would trust to anyone but a highly competent body shop.
The steering tunnel section is also called the front floor area. The factory has a single piece that goes from the front pan into the floor board to rear bulkhead. You can buy just the one section from our host. https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/PELP218B.htm?pn=PEL-P218B&SVSVSI=911E&DID=57399 John is correct that it is much easier to just drop the suspension and weld in a patch. YOu won't know how big if a patch until you cut it open. |
I actually have that whole panel from Restoration Design, with just a small pedal area section cut out for my '69.
