Which replacement panel is this rust in (69 E)

Is this right front gas tank lateral support panel, or the front pedal area section and would I order the replacement panel with, or without, the brackets? 1969 E

Thanks,
Milan

You don't want replace that panel, trust me. Just fix the rusted area and be happy.

The rust is right on the pinch weld/bead, how would you recommend repairing it so it's a good job?

Have a shop do it that's familiar with the breed. Dropping the entire front suspension probably required, but that's pretty quick and easy. Then you have access.

Agree. That is not a panel I would trust to anyone but a highly competent body shop.

The steering tunnel section is also called the front floor area. The factory has a single piece that goes from the front pan into the floor board to rear bulkhead. You can buy just the one section from our host.

John is correct that it is much easier to just drop the suspension and weld in a patch. YOu won't know how big if a patch until you cut it open.

I actually have that whole panel from Restoration Design, with just a small pedal area section cut out for my '69.
