This has already been addressed. For those of us with DSL, it appears/disappears too quickly to be of any use (in fact, you can't even read most of what's on that page).

Get rid of it, it's a waste of time.

I agree with "union lover". ;-)

Not much use if you have DSL.

I couldn't figger out what the hell it was supposed to be for - there was just some big hugh button that would flash on my screen, but it would disappear before I could even read it, much less click it.

Yup, with broadband cable it's just a flash, if your mouse is ready to go, you can catch it, sometimes, otherwise useless.

it does the same thing as clicking "go", or going back to the top and clicking porsche 911 technical forum. now there's three ways to do it! technology is amazing.

Add me to the list of broad band guys that doesnt get to see it long enough to make a difference. I didnt vote because neither choice would be appropriate feedback to the poll...Matthew

why not just go back to the board after you post a message automatically, why push a button

Slow

Keep it, it's brilliant for us slow connectors. It's part of what makes this board great... excellent attention to detail. Thanks,

Gordo

well if it goes away too fast for broadbanders, then it isn't around long enough to really annoy you (I'm in that camp). If all the electron-slugs like it, why not appease them? Unless we want to stand on principle. And the last time I did that I got arrested...something about cutting off his circulation...

It disappears too fast from the screen. You need to code in some delay on it. Otherwise, I think it's great. Works well in the heat of an OT Iraq war topic when I'm trying to make my point before Tabs or Targa Dude makes theirs.

Only a small percentage of your users have broadband capability, if it's anything like the national average. And even if it's well above the national average simply because Porsche people might be assumed to be technologically advanced, I'll bet it's still a definite minority. Keep the button.
