1987 - What's this leak? - Near transmission mount

Car: 87 Carrera, ~47,500 miles.

Any idea on what the wetness is in front of the right transmission mount? (you're looking towards the front of the car)
Car is in the shop for tint. I can get more pics later this week.

On a related note: I am about to change the transmission mounts. Rennline ones are sitting next to me

politely saying ,what oil leak are you talking about?;-))))))))))
Most likely the moist and dust comes from the nose cone seal at the transmission. Why are you replacing the trany mounts at 47k on the car?

Maybe I am just being paranoid.
When I get the car back I will clean all that junk out and see what it looks like a few days later.

As far as replacing the mounts: I went to get an alignment and the tech (who is a respected porsche mechanic) looked over the entire car and noted that I replace a few things.
Trailing arm bushings
transmission mounts
torn CV boots
He said the front bushings all looked good.

I am trying not to go down the suspension refresh rabbit hole (saving it for fall or next spring) since I just spent a ton of money for:
-new griffiths AC
-front wheel bearings
-tint on all windows + windshield
-repaint bumper and valance (rock chips)
-paint correction
-paint protection film

I'd clean first, much easier to locate an oil leak that way.

I'd like to guess/confirm this as the culprit as well.
in that area there is nothing else able to leak in such an "oily" manner.

Just a caution on replacing the mounts: with the '87, you have a G-50 transmission, and the mounting is set up differently than on the earlier 915 trans, to the extent that the individual mounts are not supposed to be serviceable; you are to replace the entire trans cross beam. It is possible to hog out the mounts and replace the rubber: WEVO offers an option for this, but the best solution, in my view, is the WEVO "exchange" option, whereby you send them your cross beam, and they swap out the rubber bits, re-weld everything, and send you a good as/better than new mount (cross beam w/mounts). Of course, you can always get a new one from Porsche, but they are $1200-1500, if you can find them (Pelican shows as NLA, but FVD Brombacher shows them on their site). The WEVO exchange solution is what I did some years ago, and it is excellent.

Rennline does make a replacement mount for the G50 crossmember

https://www.rennline.com/Mounts/products/1192/

Regarding the leak, the only other source of the leak could be the rear brake line T-fitting. At that location, just above and to the left of the trans mount is a fitting that takes the feed line from the tunnel and splits it to two hard lines that route around the trailing arms and then connect with the rubber flex lines.

I see the rubber flex lines have been recently replaced. Maybe the connection between the flex line and the hard line on the right side of the chassis is leaking back to that location? Just a guess in addition to the mention of the shift rod seal leak mentioned by Ivan.
