Tachometer speedometer swop

Hi

Changed my steering wheel to momo prototipo. Can't see my speedo and had to tilt it so I can read up to the maximum speed limit (still not clearly visible)

I want to swop my tachometer for the speedometer and was wondering if anyone done this and is there enough slack on the wiring to swop around.

I can't answer your question, however, responders should note that your 911 is RHD which could make a difference

Umm... they aren't the same size. Unless you're going to swap the internals as well, which seems complex and expensive.

Oops, did not realized that the tachometer is much larger

Take a look at enough interior photos here, and you'll notice many cars with smaller steering wheels have the gauges rotated. It looks pretty haphazard until you sit behind the wheel, then it all makes sense.

Rotate the gauges so you can see the important bits of the instruments over/through the wheel without craning your head around too much.

For example, I can easily see the 10-80 MPH range on my speedometer, and my RPM needle stands straight up at "12 o'clock" at the optimum shift point for my cams.

If I'm making boost with good oil pressure, I know what the speeds are in each gear...

I had North Hollywood Speedometer redo my tach and speedo. Tach has redline straight up. Speedo has the 0 t0 80 on the left side.

i used an eccentric hub adaptor to move the protipo up and can see gauges clearly now
