Fuchs Restorers

Hello,
I'm looking for a company to restore my 15x6 Fuchs Alloys that will do a fantastic job in a reasonable timeframe. Who would you recommend currently?
I'm located in New Zealand and will airfreight the wheels to the USA.
I had a company lined up to do them, but they don't take overseas phone calls , which make me nervous if I need to speak to them.
Thanks

David Gouk

Check out Peter Nguyen, "The Fuchs Guy". You can PM here on the board at autoclub911. I have multiple sets of his wheels and appreciate the quality, turn around and pricing.

Thanks Tailwind,
I was recommended Peter and have emailed him, Unfortunately he doesn't take overseas ph calls, which concerned me. I wanted to speak with him about the anodising. Sounds like he does like he does great work! Maybe Ill take a punt.

Thanks for your offer of help, Have you had work done by Peter before?

I've bought 2 sets from Peter. Nice work. Pleased with both sets.

As for the phone calls, some cell phone plans restrict international calls.

I've bought new Fuchs and old BSS 997 wheels, as well as having them powder coated by Wheel Enhancement.

Never had forged Fuchs restored by them, so YMMV.

Is there no one in “the land of the long white cloud” that does anodised wheels ?

Thanks Bob, Have you used them since the company changed ownership from the original owner?

I haven't. Maybe try having them do one to see what you think? Is there a reason you think it's changed?

another thought -- why not buy a set of freshly-refinished fuchs and sell yours locally? This would let you save on international shipping (only need to ship one way), give you the option (opportunity?) to switch fuchs width and/or diameter, and likely speed up the process. :)

I'll also recommend these guys, fast turn-around, excellent work at very fair prices

Both sets (early Flat sixes, set of 4 and set of 5) were re-anodized. Pictures attached below.

I'd consider this strongly, unless you are looking for the exact wheels (date codes, etc.) that you already have. Shipping internationally both ways seems excessive.

Harvey is great, but the "reasonable timeframe" is a showstopper.

I second this. I am very happy with the work and the turnaround time. Had mine done this year (2020)
