odd color combination

I've been pondering the color of my car. The sepia brown has really been growing on me, but the tan interior hasn't. Has anyone out there seen a brown 911 with a grey or black interior?
here is the interior when I bought it. (cleaned up now)

and the exterior when i bought it (slightly cleaned up but will get lot of attention later)

Tim, I looked at a 72 coupe in Cary once. IT was originally brown with tan interior, but resprayed black. I think the brown on tan is common. I would stick with the light color interior. Think of black in summer, esp. sans AC.

i'd just go with black seats front and rear, and new black carpet. That would leave a few contrasting tan pieces to tie in the earth-tone exterior. and i would also loose the wheel for a black one. max

I think maybe the tan wouldn't be so bad if I could find good carpeting. Do they make perlon in tan? (the blanket/quilt like carpet). The carpet that was in there is a nasty thick pile stuff and it's just plain ugly

That perlon is expensive stuff you might try are host or tweeks A lighter carpet would be nice If your going for originality then stick with perlon but if ya dont give a hoot theres lower pyle stuff im sure you can get and save a bundle.

maybe.. I just know the existing stuff has to go. I'll try and post pics of it later today if I can.

to elaborate a little more, what I'd like is something like this but in tan.(and not dirty). It is almost like very thick felt.

Well you can certainly change things piece by piece until you come up with a combination you like. Look at it objectively and ask yourself what bothers you most and change that out first. It could be that your tan is just faded or tired looking and needs freshening up. Black works with every exterior color, but it does get hot.

I like the tan door panels. If anything I would just replace the seats with black ones.

I've got that colour interior with a black car! Sorry - opposite isn't much help...

I'd change it. Tan interior is a ***** to keep clean.

Original is my vote, too. My '74 has the same tan interior, but I think its actually easy to keep clean...doesn't show dirt as much since its...well...the color of dirt.

I don't like the brunettes I date to have bleached blond hair either.
Real just has a better feel!

hey bigchill. I noticed you've got the same carpet. What's it like in good condition? Mine's in a horrible shape.

133 that carpet in the trunk can be cleaned with a brush, water and detergent. Lay it out on the driveway and go after it with the hose.
Let it dry and then paint it with material paint.

Keith,
That's definitly unique. I saw one car on the pelican run with a silver exterior and a blue interior. Mine is fairly normal I think just not very apealing when it gets old.

Irish Green with Beige leather. Loved it when I bought the car almost 3 decades ago, and I still love it.
