What muffler do I have? 1980SC

I decided to upgrade my muffler to a Dansk 2:1 in my 1980SC.

Can somebody tell me what kind of muffler i have now?

Is it stock? The previous owner did a cat bypass and Im curious what muffler he used.

Hoping a 70mm Dansk Sport muffler will fit

Sorry for the bad pictures, i couldnt see any part numbers

Lada,
You have a one in non stock muffler that looks like someone has fabricated themselves using a generic style muffler as the base.

If you want to use a 2 in muffler you will need to change the headers to a two out style like SSI's or similar.

I'd suggest you just install a 1 in, 1 out M&K muffler and avoid the cost and hassle.

go for SSI

saves a lot of weight and heat (no cross tube/heat under trans, no pre-muffler/no heat near valve cover).
and the engine breathes more freely (gain of up to to 10hp).

I am running a 1 in/ 1 out M & K on my 80 SC and am very happy. When/if I decide to rebuild and mod for more HP, I will go to SSI's or similar.
Looks like some pretty rusty fasteners holding things together, beyond PB or the like. Should be fun getting the old muffler off unless you have a torch.

That may be a Bursch muffler. Through the years they changed silencer brands and shapes.

Can't comment on the muffler but if that's Castrol GTX in the background I'd get rid of it. Garbage.
