Vacuum advance on carb’d 73
I’m working on bringing my car back to life after a 2 year hiatus.
I noticed that there appears to be a vacuum port on the drivers side Webers. It’s capped off as is the port on the distributor. Is there any benefit to connecting this up? The car has been seen by a variety of mechanics over the years and nobody has mentioned it. |

You could benefit if you have an advance, or by using a 123 distributor with a programmable curve, hook up a non ported vacuum, meaning the vacuum source from below the throttle plate.
