Issue with Thermostat saver

Has anyone installed one of these, oil thermostat saver, sold by our host.I managed to screw up my inner oil line inlet in the thermostat while switching to SSi's, and installed this in the dead of winter. It is shipped with instructions in German, which is not readable by me.

Just started her up yesterday and it is leaking severely. Is is possible that the liquid that is included with the fitting needs to be at a higher temperature during installation, and how much of this is used?

I do have another thermo saver in reserve, but don't want to install it until I get a handle on the correct way to proceed..

Here's a pic, sorry for not being more clear. The thermo saver is the one on the line going to the engine, leaks like a sieve.

That is what it is, but it's called a Thermostat saver by those who sell them. I do think I am screwed, as I tried reinstalling it with fresh locking compound, still leaks badly. Looks like a new thermo for me.
