1973 911S Engine Wiring Quesiton
Pelicans, I found some wires disconnected near the fuel filter / ground point 89 that I would like to identify. They come out of, I believe, the main tunnel harness as a group of four wires (RED Circles).
#1 White wire- WHITE arrow is power for license plate lights. Was connected and working. No issue here. #2 Grey and White wire- BLUE arrow. Was disconnected. I'm fairly certain this is the signal for the cold start enrichment solenoid. Connected now. I've done a bit of research on this and see a lot of folks disconnect and rig manual switch. However, it's not abundantly clear why one would do this assuming it works. Car started with it disconnected and connected. Starts cold (have not started less then 45F or so) and hot. Don't necessarily want to debate what is best just want to confirm this is where it should go as from factory. Is it possible there is some unseen issue that compelled the previous owner to disconnect? Note: connected now and there does not appear to be fuel leaking out any of the cold start hoses during starting sequence. Have yet to confirm signal from the temperature switch and check if the solenoid is actually working. #3 & 4 Brown (one is a lighter brown) - RED arrow. Was disconnected, assume this should go to ground point 89? WHAT DOES THIS GROUND AND WHY WOULD IT BE DISCONNECTED? ![]() I'm a new owner so maybe I haven't discovered all the resources yet. Is there a wiring harness diagram? Thanks in advance for all your help.

No physical wiring diagrams, just the schematics.
You are correct on all points. Yes, ground the double browns, they are necessary.
