filling oil

has anyoe come up with a clean way to add oil to their g series (in my case 83 sc) without spilling all over my clean engine...really is a pita location for the filler. I ve tried a couple of flexible metal fillers but still got messy because the filler can slip and voila..mess on floor or worse, the engine bay

i am sure there are some creative methods out there?

This is what I've been using. Got it locally at one of the major auto part stores.

17" Total, fits securely in tank opening, holds 1 Qt Oil bottle. It's one piece so there's no chance of separating while filling. During oil changes I Zip Tie it to the Lid Hinge so you can dump a bottle in and walk away.

I think this may be the same one https://www.jmesales.com/national-spencer-poly-flex-spout/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMInc7S46_86AIVg56fCh1XMApEEAkYAyA BEgIKovD_BwE

Cheap funnel from Amazon...

Slow and steady. Also make sure to catch the bottom as you lift it away from the port.

Dipstick.

Also, with engine warmed up, just fill to between the marks on the dipstick.
