Next... How do I remove the wheel spacer?

There were 5 nuts in the front of the spacer that I was able to get off by holding the bolt side on the back... p.i.t.a!

The rotor slid loose but the spacer is not budging in any way at all. So... I guess I didn't have to take that off, I only needed to take the spacer off and removed the disk from the spacer after when everything was exposed.
How is the spacer attached?

Mike,

Those bolts you removed attach the disc to the hub. To get to the spacer, the hub needs to be removed. Remove the bearing cover, loosen the bearing adjusting nut, then twist the adjusting nut off the axle. The hub should slide right off. You shoud then be able to see how the spacer is attached to the hub.

get a large screwdriver and try to get it under the lip. A rubber mallet will help. Move the screwdriver around the edge of the cover. It will eventually move.

I did channel locks too. Rocking didn't work though. I actually used the channel locks to grab and used a claw hammer to pry it of. As gently as I could. She's apart now.
How much grease do I need to put in the bearings. I have heard it isn't necessary to fill the whole thing with grease. Are there a million opinions about this?
Now i'm cleaning everything while I have access. If I cleaned my house as much as I cleaned this 911, my house would be clean!

when you get the hub off take a look at your bearings, and repack them when you get done. when you get the dust cover off of the hub you'll need an allen key/socket to loosen the bolt that clamps the hub nut.
there is a slot in the rotor to allow access to the bolt, make sure it's oriented correctly when you put it back on

p.s......i use a 2x4 chunk and a big hammer for my dust caps.

Thank you gentlemen...
Isn't that perty? I changed the rotors, bearings and pads. I cleaned the hell out of everything too. It took me forever... Tomorrow ought to go a little faster. I wish I had rebuilt the calipers while I had them off. Oh well... I thought they had been done already. They were painted but not rebuilt. Seems funny to me. I'd have rebuilt them before I painted them. I'm finding more items to work on every time I look close.
Wayne is gonna love me!

Oh my God! It is good to be able to stop without downshifting! That was not what I expected at all... Live and learn. The second wheel went in about 25% of the time my first one did.

This is the picture I tried to post last night, see if it works this time...
Now... about bleeding the breaks... What a huge mess that was...
