Replacing the round odometer gear. After ordering the wrong part from Jeff Caplan at Odometer Gear Replacement, I noticed the center gear was much smaller on the US model than the Euro model.
First, do you think this is still registering Km instead of miles (giving me 68400 miles instead of 114,000)...would explain why the clock is 5 mph fast. Second, if your odometer isn't working (porsche, BMW, Volvo, MB), you got to try this site. After I realized my mistake, I called Jeff up...wow. Didn't bat an eyelash, he put a new gear in the mail for me today! Customer service only rivaled by our host. Only caution though...if you own a ROW, be sure to crack the case first and make sure you order the right gear...don't make my mistake! ![]() Oh yes, the website: http://members.ispwest.com/jkcaplan/gearwebpage/gear.html

LOL...ok, I'll do the homework and let you know. I should have the part on Mon, will measure out .6 mi with the Explorer, and see if it changes on the 1 mark.
Stay tuned!
