Dumb question?
Ok, I have an oportunity to pick up a 911. The car says it is a Carrera and it is a Cabriolet. It all looks factory but somebody told me that Porsche did not make the Cabriolet until 81. Is that true? What was the first year for the Cabriolet? This car is a 1980. Should I buy it and fix it up or pass on it as it is not a factory car and will never be worth what I spend to fix it up?

First cab was 1983. I would pass.
Also a 1980 would be an SC not a Carrera. Carreras started in 1984.
