Jack Olsen contact?

Hey Jack - how does one contact you? I notice that there's no "PM" button on your posts so I can't private message you. Tried to e-mail you through your "profile" page last week but I don't think you got it.

Several months ago you offered to e-mail me a wiring diagram for installing a 964 rear decklid/wing on an earlier Carrera, and I'd like to get that now if you're still willing to send it.

BTW, love your new ride - very, very nice.

Thanks!

Wavey

Great! Thanks, Thom. Just bought a decklid/wing, not here yet but want to get the other parts together.

Thom- is the "Auto Loc" part of the harness and parts that are attached to the underside of the deck lid?

I really appreciate your posting - looks like EVERYTHING I need to know!

Bell- yes, pretty amazing huh? Obscure question, had an answer in 18 minutes!

Sorry about that, Wavey. I got your email, and thought I sent you a reply with the diagram.

The Auto Loc is a load sensor circuit sold as an aftermarket device to make power windows 'one touch.' If you do a search on 964 lid and diagram, you'll find a link to where you can buy the auto loc. It saves you from having to count to ten in your head while you hold the window switch to open or close the rear lid.

No problem, Jack! Thanks for the lead, I'll do a search. I assume there's a similar OEM part somewhere in the 964s ?

BTW, the car is a black '88 Carrera, lowered to European specs, 6X16 front with 1/4" spacers, 7X16 rear with 3/4" spacers, Dansk sport with big single tip, will soon have Ruf front and rear bumpers. I think the total package will look pretty clean. I'll eventually move the 7s to the front and get 8s for the back.

Tyson - I hope my undying appreciation makes up for the lack of payment!
