Number of chocolate browns?

Hi

I have a chocolate brown coupe non sunroof 74 911 and I'm curious for more information about it .
Like how many were produced? Where can I find more about them?

Thanks!!!

WOUT... I went digging around via Google and did not turn up anything. Am guessing the data is not going to be easy to find publicly. Am thinking this will require call to Porsche's Customer Relations department to find out who to speak with and then more calls to ultimately reach the individual who has and will share the data. Should you pursue this, and if you do reach the right data person at Porsche... please do post who that is and their phone number.

Regards to you in Belgium from US!

That's a good question but I don't know if there is any answer. I owned a '65 911 which was originally Togo Brown but it was painted white somewhere in the 70's (I think). The current owner is in Germany and is contemplating taking it back to the original color but in my opinion, I think it looks a whole lot better in white. It sure would be rare though.

Thought you had probably searched Goog. Why not call Porsche. I'd do it out of curiosity but you're closer Wout.

I was under the impression that Porsche doesn't have this kind of specific production information. Apparently they often make mistakes on their own COAs and rely on the owners to correct their 'certification'. It seems odd to me that a German company wouldn't have better records but, who knows?

It can take a while cause it's my German friends cousin that goes to Zuffenhausen from time to time so next time he goes, he will ask.

Nice 76!!!

Didn't got any info from that Porsche connection cause all the 'internal' info is blocked to only the info that the employee needs for his part of the job.

So if someone has more info about the chocolate brown 911's?

Much appreciated!

Wout
