Vent window seal/ wind noise question
 

Hi guys
Trying to figure out wind noise problem
Does Seal # 12 go on inside or outside of door
And should there bee scellant / butil between the side window frame and the outside and inside of door like picture circled in red.

Not sure if this will help but it’s a good tutorial on the internal Mechnaicals on the door.
You might want to mention you cars MFG year in you post.

ER... I've heard that the black plastic plugs that go in the door's front and rear need to be there or there's wind noise. I've not proven this true or false.

I am pretty sure #12 goes on the outside but I will confirm when I see my car again.

On my 87 item 12 is on the outside of the door.
