Sunroof wind deflector needs viagra
I have a ‘77 911S, with a sunroof of course. When I open the sunroof the wind deflector no longer pops right up. The deflector comes up manually, but when I took it apart I could not figure out how to tighten the springs, or how they even worked.
Does anyone have experience fixing this problem? I searched Pelican Parts and could not find the appropriate part. Thanks for any help. Jeff ![]() |

Spray up the hinges with a lubricant, it'll pop right up like it just took a Viagra

Banned but not out, yet..

The irony is, the wind deflector actually creates more wind noise.
When I bought the 82 the deflector was dead so got replacement parts and the noise went up noticeably. Great engineering

Had same on my '79. Been a few years since I dealt with it so forgot the details. Do recall increasing the tension on existing springs somehow. Vague memory but think I shimmed them.
