Here’s how To replace lower Window Trim on my Targa
I noticed after it rained water got into my windows.. The targa part was sealed up, but upon further inspection I noticed my lower window trim wasn’t pressed along the window and slide loosely side to side. There was a 7mm hole created by sliding on each window.
New seals from Porsche was $36cdn ea. I’d but them from our host except that customs and our low dollar makes them double atm.. so Porsche it was.. You need number 10 on the PET. Use a plastic trim tool to lift thick black trim just about 1/4” and slide out old. The new rubber will be much tighter and thicker. I used a little dish soap on the track and it went it fine. Now they sit perfectly tight and hug the window. There so much more gummy. It’s amazing what 34 years does to rubber. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
