JLP RSR build

Hi Guys, a little update on the 3.2 short stroke engine and install: we fitted a beautiful amber shroud, the 019 mfi pump was checked, headers sand blasted and painted white, electrical system redone, etc. The engine is in now and we temporarily fitted a dansk muffler, waiting on the custom made muffler with higher and larger pipes exactly made to the model as was fitted when running the 3.6. Hopefully the refinished fuchs get not the same delay as the muffler... Cheers, Nico

Due to all the delays the fan and it's housing were done with a simple steel-it spray can instead of cerkote but I like the result, will leave it as is

intake snorkel is backwards. Should point to the left. There is also a flapper box it is supposed to connect to. You are also missing the hose that connect the MFI thermostat to the heat exchangers.

Have you checked your AFR numbers (running rich or lean when cold and hot, idle, part throttle and WOT?

Lastly, cant tell from the pictures but you have the cold start solenoid on top of the fuel filter. If it's hooked up it will make your car start right up when cold. Otherwise will take a good 30 seconds when cold. Not needed once warmed up.

It's looking very fine. A work of art.

Make sure the boys from Singer don't come around and beat you up.

Hips!

Maybe a bit too wide for my tastes in that last shot, but it looks great in the other profile shots.

Beautiful result. If I had to be the slightest picky, I'd fill the existing exhaust pipe cutouts in the rear valence (the pipes appear to clear by a bunch). And mere "white paint" on the headers? Not ceramic or heat resistant? That tone might be short lived if so.

Is the interior complete? Dare to post some pics with this crowd? :-)

Again, very nice job.

Hi Guys, thanks for the compliments. I posted as I liked the look, these are fat early gotti wheels of a 935 with 335's, to wide but cool...
Due to this covid situation I have a delay, the exhaust is a Dansk, just temporary, SCART is making me a custom one just as the one that was on it.
The headers are done with a spray can heat resistant, needs to be cerakoted, but they won't be able to this before June.
I am waiting on Fuchs that are refurbished in RSR finish, hope this won't take to long...
Here a picture of the muffler and interior

They are super comfortable. I have pole positions, scheel, lollipop, etc... but those Recaro's are the best, I love them!

Finally my 9 & 11x15 RSR Fuchs are here. Next best thing to the real deal I guess: they are widened 7&8's, anodized, polished lip and converted centers to 66mm. I had the Braids but just couldn't live with them... Hope to install them this week and have a test drive
