How to access (or remove) the light switch in a ‘73 Targa?
I’m on a mission to add a fuse in the circuit for my dash lights. Based on the threads I’ve read, it’s easy, just find the leads on the light switch and add a fuse.
But, getting to the switch seems a veritable impossibility. It’s not enough that you have to stand on your head to even get a look, on mine it’s blocked be the hood release pull and a bracket. In the attached picture, the light switch is above the hole in the bracket, but the hole is blocked by the hood release pull and even if it weren’t, the hole isn’t big enough to be of any use. It seems that if there’s a way to remove the light switch, I could remove it, do the wiring and then put it back, but how to remove it isn’t obvious to me. Can anybody help me out ? ![]() |

Never mind, I figured it out.
Now I need to to get a replacement for the bezel nut that I broke while taking it off. |
