Proper wiring for fog lights

I’m doing some wiring clean-up in my frunk and under my dash. The fog lights look like they were a DIY project. I might decide to just eliminate the lights, but if I decide to keep them or replace them, I’d like to know the wiring is correct and safe.

Whoever installed these lights used a relay (good), but the switch in the dash switches the ground, rather than the positive connection. Is that normal/best practice?

It is wired like a horn relay with the signal to ground.
I do not know if that is a good practice or not. It is not an original installation.
The original installation uses a relay to turn off the fog lights if the high beams are used.
