Smash... here's were you can sort out your numbers:

Chassis: https://www.stuttcars.com/technical/vin-decoder/
Engine: How Do You Decode The Engine Identification Numbers

Sounds like an interesting Porsche. Should post some pics. Enjoy the journey!

The VIN is for a 911T. The sixth digit should be a 1.

The Eng Code is for a 79 Turbo US 49 State, serial 1200 out of 1200 made (from the Red book).

vin is 9111110821
eng code is 6891200

vin is 9111100821 = 1971 911T coupe built in Dec 1970
What kind of info do you want on it? I can get most of the original build detail except for transmission #.

hey guys thanks for the help !!! I feel a lot better knowing that the guy was honest about the build. I will post some pics I just need to figure out hoe to get them from my phone to here easily. so would that make this motor the 300hp or the 265hp? car has been sitting in a garage since 2001 and was sitting before that since 95 all was working when parked. the original owner was the father in law to the man I bought it from. really looking forward to this build and bring the car ba k to life. I'm not a big fan of the slant nose but at least its a full metal car. I even got the molds to make the rear fender Side vents. car is black on black right now and I think I'm going to stay that way.

Yeah, well that first line is totally wrong: 9110100001-9110110583
It should read 9110100011-9110102418
Many errors:
1) the production VIN's start at 0011, not 0001
2) 911011xxxx is the 911T Targa range
3) last production VIN for Porsche built 911T Coupe is 2418 and not 583
4) total produced in that VIN range is thus 2408
5) 911T US = ??? WTF is this crap? OH! 911T Targa!
6) 911S Coupe VIN range is really 9111300011-0851 & 1088-1430 with hole of 236 not built
7) 911S Coupe production is thus 1184 and not 1430
8) see how the 911S engines are now sufficient for body production?

Sorry to burst your bubble son, but 911T is 911 Touring. No turbos until 1975, and their VIN starts with 930 , not 911.

Looks like a decent 930 Slant nose clone.
