Wow. Thank you for all your innovations. Condolences to his family.

I think it makes events like Rennsport all the more special, because a lot of these Porsche legends are getting up there in age. You go to gatherings like RR because you might not get to see these people again the next time around, to hear their stories firsthand.

It is very cool to think of all the smiles brought to peoples faces when they drive their cars and hear the song of his design on the climb up to redline.Thank you Hans and enjoy your beer at the Hofbrau House in the sky.Ciao Fred

So saddened to here this as my wife and i met and spoke with him for a few minutes at Rennsport Reunion VI, truly an honor to shake the hand of the man behind the Mezger engine. I was really looking forward to seeing him again at RR VII and sharing something very cool with him that i put together when we returned from RRVI. It would definitely have put a smile on his face.

Such a polite and humble man whose contributions to the Porsche world will live on for ever. Godspeed and God bless you Mr. Mezger you will never be forgotten.

A life well lived! We can all smile and admire Hans' memory as we wind-out our cars to redline, or read Ludvigsen to learn how all the projects he touched, improved and outright created. He's a member of a pantheon of the very best engineers who've added so much to our lives.

Knew he was the "Father of the flat-six" and his engine turbo-charging accomplishments, but was not aware he fathered the 914's 2.0 liter flat-four also.

Outstanding engineer !
