My '86 911 spit brake fluid out the vent

I'm pretty sure the hood touches the top of the brake reservoir.
Does anyone else have this problem?

The mounting bracket is pretty soft, you can increase the bends to lower the res without causing any issues.

The heading of your post suggests that you are getting brake fluid through your air vent inside the car which suggests that you have a brake fluid leak around the reservoir or master cylinder. And please practice some good brake fluid hygiene. The cap and spill tray should never be dirty.

on my 85 it would overflow out the vent shown above and exit below where that little hose runs when running it at DE. suspecting that is what he means, but we'll see what he says.

a Porsche master mechanic friend suggested I put a couple loops in the hose as once it gets some fluid in the hose it tends to siphon. so looped the hose and added a catch can. solved that.

EXACTLY! I will try the loop and then the loop+catch can.

Does your hood have a mark from rubbing the brake reservoir?
