88 Outlaw build close to being completed
For many years admired the fine work being done by those building beautiful outlaws. Looked at purchasing a couple of them but decided to have one made the exact way i desired so I decided against it. Only problem is that I work 60 plus hours a week and am far below average in "do it your selfer". So I contracted it out, for those who ever want to know the costs of each process I am happy to address in private messaging.
Car is still 6 months away from being done. Hoping it is done by feb 17 as it will be entered into a large event if complete. Car began its life as a 1988 navy blue Carrera with a 1986 3.2. Car came with the g50 which in will be using when done. |

Bought car of pelican in Jan of 15 off if pelican within 5 minutes of it being posted. Got a great deal on the car. Had it delivered with the full intent if being an outlaw. Car was delivered to Ann Arbor Michigan to the excellent care of Arbor motion/Rennstatt Racing's Tim Pott. Tim checked the car out and gave it a clean bill of health on being a great base for my outlaw.

The project was then split in a few pieces. Tim would handle engine/trans/brakes/ suspension/ all other mechanicals and majority of non-body work assembly. The body and paint being done by a very reputable shop Stony creek in Ypsilanti. The interior would be done by Bob and Rod at classic 9 leather shop in Dearborn heights.
Body was intended to look like a 74 iroc but I really love ducktail look so I also have a ducktail rear being fitted and painted as well. Steel flares both front and rear, front and rear bumpers, both rear tails, rockers. Etc where all bought through Patrick motorsports who are great to work with. |

I have always loved Signal orange and I went with that color. Car will also have purple Carrera decal on door so it is certainly unique and polarizing to many.

By the way- decided on 17 inch braid wheels. Love them. Not inexpensive but worth it.
