I think one turn is about a 1/4", so if that is correct then 4 turns would give you an inch, but I'm not sure which direction is which. This has come up several times in the past, you may get some info from a search on lowering

Counter Clockwise will lower the car. It relieves tension from the torsion bar so the car sits lower. Keep in mind that 1 turn does not equal 1" exactly. It depends on how low the car already is. The lower the car is the less you need to turn it. You also need to measure the back of the car. When you lower the front, the rear will raise slightly. It is a real art to get one balanced once you start playing with it.

It is 1/4" but that is only relative to the spring rate. The point I was trying to make is that the lower the car is the more impact one complete turn will have.
