Depends on what you are looking for

For performance the 964RS old style single mass is nice at the expense of some possible gear rattle

You will need a new matching clutch, guide tube & release bearing

The rs lwf is the first modification that anybody should do to a 964/93
Totally transforms the car into what it should have been from the start .

There are problems to be considered .....

It shouldn’t break your crank , but also it shouldn’t stop you going buying wool for your next crochet class

Rs flywheel. Same part used into the 997 rs!
I have a full gt3rs 4.o clutch system. It works well.
Very lively
And yes. You do get some gear rattle
If that bothers you stick with a dual mass

I have an interesting one in the attic , I’ll be going back up there once it cooled down a little and I’ll snap some pics .
Got if off Steve beddor once he’d retired from his silliness
Iirc it’s a 997 part number but can’t remember if it’s ruf Motorsport , ruf prototype/pms development model , or porsche Motorsport part that ruf used .
Hopefully I made notes on or inside the box .
Probobly a little much for a 964 cab pch cruiser , but what the hell

Well it’s not often I’m right , but in this instance I was wrong ...

Not a 997 part number .
Nowhere near ,,

It sucks suddenly getting old , when just 20 years ago I was just fine and could remember 5h1t

Pics below , but all they give is little clues .
I could research some more Into dates etc , but I think I got this off Steve well into the porsche Motorsport 996-version supercup so don’t know if it’s modified pms (not many pics of supercup parts out there to compare) Or stock pms part , or if ruf had Any involvement with pms development .
But it’s a porsche Motorsport number that was used into the 996 supercup in 2001 .
No idea if it was used in 964 or 993 cup cars just now But may look farther into it .
Steve raced his “993” ruf into overlap of the 996 supercup , so who knows ?
I could ask him , but he’s older than me !!
I can tell from shipping labels it was originally fedex overnighted to Beddor in Arizona , then sent From Steve’s house to me at a friends address As I was out of town at the time .
I have no idea at the moment what the pressure plate is .
I will definately look into this some more , as I need to know it will work in a 964 with stock transmission , any help appreciated ...
I do remember him offering me some crazy 3 or 4 puck clutches , but I only wanted parts that would work in a street car !! Lol

Enjoy the pics .
The “dust” is just wood from me using my circular saw up there as I work on my COVID Lockdown project

I did a little bit more looking into this .

I Was right !!
it is a 997 part number !!!

Well kinda , it’s still a 964 part number so I was wrong

but apparently this number is The version of the 964 flywheel used On the 996 supercup cars , and apparently carried over to 997 4.0 Gt3rs/cup

Spyerx , yours should be same/similar , but part number ended 81 ?
Do you have any photos or details before it went in your car ?
Apparently same diameter , Machining/lightening design , and 32mm face for lightweight racing puck disc that was also 32mm , though the overlap from using a 40mm Rs/gt2 etc. clutch disc no problem ...

Also , I’ve not looked into the pressure plate yet , but if you have any info on yours I’d appreciate it .

I plant to look into it more , just to be certain what I’m putting in my car .

Thanks .
Ian

The 997rs uses a 964 light flywheel part number. No pics of it unfortunately.
The clutch disk and pressure plate are different in the gt3, but they do fit in the 964. That is what i have in my car, essentially a full gt3rs4.0 kit.

You should be able to cross reference the Sachs part numbers on their site
