Changing gauge faces
The PO put white gauge faces in my car, for which I do not care. I was told by the odometer fixer guy that the new ones are glued over the black ones. What is the procedure for getting both faces off and putting on a new set of black ones?

Depends on how the white overlays were applied. I've seen some that are just held on with the screws and the original faces are perfect underneath and I’ve seen some that are glued on and the original faces are ruined.
If they were glued on you will need to either buy some black overlays or have the original metal faces restored. PM me if you need any help or have questions. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

Pardon my intruding M5,
Are overlays available in black, mine are faded but work great.....I'm not interested in Palo Alto speedometer rebuild for 2000+

Flyboy, these guys do nice gauge faces, a bit pricey, but nice https://www.heiler-tachodesign.de/Speedometer-Disc-Porsche-911-Carrera-Targa-Coupe-Mph-to-Kmh
