OT- But look anyway - Fantastic Ad
I saw this at the 911S board and just had to share.
Sorry Wayne COG Makes me want to do something simple like upgrade my 2.4L 911T motor to a 3.6 by replacing the jugs etc. etc. etc.

Saw this earlier today - it is sweeping the net.
Superb work. I really like the crew quote from during a particularly frustrating day "the parts are being very moody today". Inspired work.

Yep, cool stuff. Planter posted this over on OT 4 days ago.
It kind of reflects some of the engineering of the present day . .. very Rube Goldberg.

it took a weekend wrench who understands Rube Goldberg to fix a design flaw in the pre lift off Lunar Module.. it looked great on paper, but the computers always crashed.. good thing he was an El. Eng. because the suits didn't like the way it looked at pre lift necessary inspection.. the rest is history.. because of 'ole Rube..............Ron

Didn't mean to knock Rube . . he at least did his things intentionaly complex. I just intended to knock the engineering that relies on Rube-bandages to make something work (kind-of). Things like these Honda cars that that will NOT run if you take the stereo out. Maybe *thats* what they're trying to say .?

this kind of OT isn't really OT. Very freakin' cool. If it came to the point where we can't find this kind of "OT" here, then there isn't much reason to come at all unless you have a serious problem--and that will, like that little mouse trap eventually lead to poor traffic. Pretty soon, the guy with the answers isn't reading either.

I love this stuff! Absolutely amazing, especially when you consider it worked (well, once after 600+ takes...). Beautiful. Thanks for posting (or re-posting) it.

On another BBS, some of the ad's flaws were debated and it's authenticity was challenged. Like how could you get a muffler to roll over that many times with so little inertia? But that was a bunch of us 914 guys, go figure.

Amazing........, when advertising can be the highest art form.
And it makes me want to run out and buy one, this is one of the best ads I've ever seen.
