Best source for MFI Throttle bodies

I'm on the hunt for a set of the original style MFI Throttle Bodies for my '73T.

Historical accuracy is not at all important to me; I am after function. I don't even care if they don't have the black wrinkle finish. In fact, I think I'd prefer that they didn't.
I see a couple of guys casting new MFI TBs that look pretty nice, but of course everything looks nice in pictures.

Are there any recommendations available? I'd appreciate any input.

I bought a set from Dave Bouzaglou at TRE Motorsports, he is bringing in sets from Germany, very high quality, competitively priced, bolt-on, easy.

I don't have any experience with any of the new aftermarket replacements. I have, however, picked up a number of good condition used sets for reasonable prices.

They are still out there.

Only the high-butterfly units are less expensive in aftermarket compared to original.

Any new throttle bodies are likely to come from the same source in Germany - I think it might be a company called Mittelmotor, but not sure. TRE would probably be the best source in the US.

Like Jamie says, used ones are out there, and there are a small number of people doing rebuilds on them. I machined and rebuilt a set with 41mm throttles and also did matching plastic stacks. It's a lot of work.

This may sound a little silly, but the reason that I want a new set is that I plan to modify them and I don’t want to do that to an original set so that unadulterated TBs are available for people doing accurate restorations and concours stuff.

Understood. I think there are plenty of parts available that it is not going to be an impediment to anyone's restoration.
