Based on those photos my spindles have been lowered to 3.5. That is odd

Looks raised to me. Note additional tie-rod reinforcement near bottom.

The opposite, I think. The stock Bilstein strut spindle bottom is 3.25" above the bottom of the strut (lowest end where the ball joint attaches). An organization to which I belong had an interest in this, and I have pictures showing 3.25", plus or minus parallax in the photo. The RSR ht post above has a picure showing close to 4". This looks to be 3 5/8+.
Which is still odd. The RSR's ran 15" rims,I think, which limited, with the calipers used, the rise to 19mm. With taller rims you might be able to raise it more before having interference issues. |

They have been raised. Looks like 15-20mm. Here are some pictures for comparison. The green is Bilstein, orange is Koni, and black is Boge (ball joint still attached). These are all stock 911 struts with 3.5 inch caliper bolt spacing.
If you want to trade for some unraised ones let me know, I've got a few.. ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Cory M; 08-19-2020 at 03:35 PM.. |
