Rear window wiring
71 911 getting ready to install rear glass after respray. Previous owner removed the rear defrost wiring. Does anyone have a photo of what the wiring looks like and where it is connected on the glass.
I believe 71 is a 2 stage defrost switch but need confirmation if anyone can. If it is a 2 stage then 4 wires total? 2 group 2 power? Specifically the previous owner removed all the wiring where it connects to the window. I have the copper attachment points along the edge of the windows, 3 each side but am not sure what wires connect where? Last edited by kd126500; 09-25-2020 at 07:52 AM.. |

I don't have a photo, but the wiring should be on the bottom left corner of the window, looking from behind the car. Normally there are spade connectors on the edge of the glass, most likely previous owner broke them off.

How are the wires connected to the posts. Are they sodered or is there a specific connector? I don't see any part # of connecter from our host

Tabs on the glass can be .250 or .187 male depending on the year.
