Uhh help...
I am doing a clutch job and I made a classic rookie mistake when reinstalling the flywheel, I left the small spacer plate out. This piece goes between the flywheel and the bolts. I was wondering if I need it because I have already tightened the bolts to about 60ft-lbs. Also, could I just take the bolts out and then re-use them because I didn't tighten them all the way?
Thanks, Pat

If you havent tensioned the bolts all the way, they can be removed and reused. Install the plate and install and tension the flywheel bolts

My Boss recently informed me that Porsche is now saying that flywheel bolts are reusable. Hmmm.... wonder what changed. ???

I have reused them on many occasions, but I use red loctite on them to be sure all is OK.

Someone else made this mistake and asked this same question about a week ago or so. Should be fine, but if you want to be 100%, then replace the bolts...

I have never replaced my flywheel bolts, a bit or blue loctite is used though.
