Where’s the best place to mount a fire extinguisher in my 1970 911
Thanks Brian

I like the passenger seat rails in the front seat. It's something I want to be able to reach even if belted in (in the event of a bad crash, where I'm stuck).

I have 4 Element fire extinguishers in the glove box of the '70. Also usually carry 2 HalGuard extinguishers on the rear floor padded. You can't have too many. Ask me how I know.

Brian : as in alot of options - it all depends.
- do you track your 70 911?
- do you have harness bar - roll cage?
- is the fire ext a be-prepared option?

In my situation - I have a 1980 911SC with a harness bar [got at a sweet$$] so I mounted my halon FE at the harness bar... good mounting point - accessible by driver/pax..

on my 991 I opted for a floor mount -

I don't track either of my 911s so I'm not expecting fire > but its always good to be prepared

I mounted an element extinguisher under the passenger seat on the tunnel side so easy to reach from either seat or door. Sticks out a bit so it’s visible.

Mine is under the driver seat.

fire extinguisher in your P-car - any pix?

And my solution under the drivers seat:

The car is a '73 but the seats are from a '77. I put an aluminum "el" between the the two front bolts that hold the slider to the seat adapter plate and attached the bottle.
