Torque spec for m8 exhaust nuts on headers
I know the spec is 25 Nm, and it seems awfully high. The engine I am on right now does not seem to have anything at that spec when I remove the nuts.
Is it a good practice to back off from the 25 Nm spec on installation? Like 18-20 Nm?

It's always better to apply some anti-seize on the threads and torque to specs.
