Atlanta Pelicanheads - April 19 meeting
Fellow Atlanta Pelicanites!
The Ferrari club and at least one other car group will be meeting at Casa Nuova restaurant, April 19th, at 11am. The restaurant is not normally open on Saturdays for lunch so this will be an exclusive event for car buffs! Casa Nuova is located at 5670 HIGHWAY 9, ALPHARETTA, GA 30004 (see attached map). Any body up for some strong coffee and diss'ing the quote "Italian trash"? End quote (Charlie Sheen, No Man's Land). ![]()

Sounds fun. I think I am using up all of my saved up "car guy" points with my family when I go to Hershey the next weekend.

Gee, how are these guys going to take a bunch of P-nuts showing up? Its like a big P-car get together and a couple dozen Mazda Miata come swarming in. I certainly might drive by around that time since its close to my house. Despite the costs and mechanical reputation they are gorgeous!

Guys,
Just to calm your worries, I called the restaurant and we are actually expected. Apparently the Ferrari guys told the restaurant manager, Maria, that the Porsche club would be showing up. And by the way, a 930 is in no way comparable to a Miata. But I would still crawl all over a Miata given the chance. Ever car has interesting attributes that are worth learning! Elombard - bring the wife & kids for lunch; that way it becomes a family outing and you don't use up any points.

Some of us here in Atlanta are P-Car guys AND F-car guys.... I actually doubt my 308 will be back together from all the stuff Im doing to it currently. Come to think of it.... the 911S may also be down with fuel injection woes. Here we have a Ferrari and Porsche clubs joint meeting.... and neither of my cars will be running for it! Grrrrrrrrrrrr typical.

Terry,
If you need a lift so that you show up in something other than your Hyunda, let us know. At least three of us live in your area.

Mike... why do we invite you anyway? No doubt Maria will ignore us all now... on the other hand, maybe we can get food before the "other" car guys get theirs...

Chris - I see you're back in town! Charles and I were at the donut shop this am - only 2 Porsches there! Of course the pollen was coating everything outdoors so anyone driving a black car would have been mistaken for a yellow ride. Maria will take care of us. . . great food there. I invited my dad for the event so the mountain drive is questionable at this point - depends on how many glasses of vino I can get him to drink
![]() Give me a call tomorrow and maybe we'll go for a spin. Mother-in-law in town so I'm non-existent till tomorrow pm - get that break every few weeks!

There were more P-cars at Starbucks Sunday am than Saturday am at the doughnut shop...a '90 C2, '86 911 cab, ?? Boxster and my 88. I overheard a girl about 14 years old say "there are Porsche's coming from everywhere".

Looks like we may have a babysitter for a few hours on Saturday. If it doesn't fall through, Cathy and I will come meet you guys at Casa Nuova. Heck, I guess it's about time I prove that I really do have a wife!

Mike F.,
I was planning on bringing the kids. You know Liam is such a car junkie (he gets it from his mother) and it seems like a nice chance to have a family meal. So if all else fails, bring your kids along!
