Porsche Crest 3.2 Carrera HRE 527s wheel tire size

Hello Pelican Superheroes,

I’m hoping to purchase 17 inch HRE 527s wheels for my 87 narrow body Carrera. The suspension and ride height are stock.

What is the correct/maximum wheel size and offset as well as tire size, that I can use without any issues (rubbing, scrapping, need to roll metal, etc). Just looking to plug and play

Happy Sunday and thanks in advance,

Brian

Assuming 17s
either 7ET25 & 9ET15, 7.5ET 26-27 & 9ET15 or 8ET28-30 7 9ET15 or 9.5ET19

215/45 & 245/45 is probably best for most purposes, 22/5/45 & 255/40 can be used if there is a need

Howdy Bill,

Thank you for the lightning fast reply! You are a rockstar!

What would be a scenario where I’d “need” the 225/45 and 255/40 over the 215/45 and 245/45?

And would those larger sizes create a rub issue on a narrow body?
