CDI failure symptoms

I am having some problems with my 83' SC. In speaking with my mechanic he said that a faulty CDI could be the culprit.

In your experience, what are some symptoms of a failing or faulty CDI?

What kind of problems are you having?

Who is your mechanic? If he suspects CDI/WUR/fuel pump, what does he propose to do? If you need a better air-cooled specialist, there's Renntag, and German Performance Options in Nashville, and Onderka Motor Co in Manchester. I've heard great things about Onderka and have had great experiences at Renntag and GPO.

Did he say it was WUR or CDI or he doesn't know? Might be better if you just listed the symptoms.

with the CD it either does not work or it may stop working once hot are the most common, BUT, the coil can do the same thing

its best to work from the direction of what problems are you having
