Luftgekult 7 East Coast
Luftgekult 7 will be held on the East Coast this year at Durham, North Carolina on May 29-31. Should be a great event. I will definitely be there to make the drive from Florida. Just wanted to know who else here is going and from what part of the country.

I'm planning on coming from MD. Maybe I'll catch the caravan on Friday from Philly.

Hotel booked. It’s about 600 miles one way for me, so a bit on the fence on whether to take the 84 and make an adventure of it, or just fly down and enjoy being a spectator. Both have their advantages...most likely will depend on whether I can get enough time away to make the journey down interesting or not...
Having never attended Luft, I’m wondering if it’s really worth having your car there if it’s not in the event? Would I end up spending all day looking at other cars instead of enjoying mine, or are there other things to do that make it worthwhile? Last edited by Quasimoto; 02-09-2020 at 01:56 AM.. |

Ca ---> nc ???
I'm seriously thinking about doing a cross country drive out to this. Any other west coasters as crazy as I am? Might drive back too (or more likely ship the car back) depending... still in the early stages of planning. Who else?!

Driving from Atlanta (6 hours!), I'm guessing there will be a group...either an "official" Peachstate PCA Tour event, and/or just some of us usual suspects gathering early one day (Fri?) for the drive up...TBD.
FYI... On Motorsportreg.com ...an hour away @ VIR... David Murry Track Days Wed & Thur (27-28) Tarheel Sports Car Club Sat & Sun (30-31) So there are options for some track fun if you are so disposed! The David Murry event looks like a serious racers outing...$3999 worth of serious!

Never been to one, but I see they select the cars to display. When is that done, on-site or during some earlier online submission?
Are there displays or events that weekend that don't involve a chosen few, like for driver quality cars and participants? |

For those coming from afar to this event, make sure you plan on driving the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway!
