I have a 1983 911sc and does anyone have an idea about what causes the steering colum to have play in it up and down and from side to side, it's not much but you can feel it when you go over RR TRACKS and some bumps, and can this be fixed easily? thanks

				Check out a bushing

that Pelican sells that can fit down onto the steering column. I have a 1984 cab and spent $900 to have the bearings replaced after hitting a ridge on some repaving that knocked my steering column loose. After doing it, I came across one of these bushings in a catalogue that cost about $25. Just take the steering wheel off (you do not need to remove any of the switches for wipers, etc) and slide the bushing down and push it into place. It is a cheap fix that should last a while.
