Extra wire Fan Blower Porsche 911 1970

After removing the fan blower to have access to the wiper system, I discovered a wire that I cannot find on the 1970 911 Wiring Diagram

Next to the harness of the Blower connector (4wire) there is a 5th cable coming out.
It is a Black cable that is not connected to anything.

Can anyone tell me why it is there and where it is used for?

Many Thanks
Wilfried

Scrape off the black overspray and see if it is a blue wire.
If so, it is for the optional Webasto Gas Heater.

Hey Dennis,

Removed the paint today and you are right, wire is blue.
I never heard of the Webasto Heater.
How is this heater activated?
Do I need to insulate this cable?

Regards

Porsche left just the way you see it. No need to do anything with it. You could even cut it off if it bothers you.
Webasto is the brand of gas auxiliary heater added for very cold climates. Lots of VW beetles had them in Canada where I grew up.
