Roth sport racing bump steer kit feedback/opinions?
Hey all,
I just ordered everything for a front end suspension overhaul. I also picked up the rothsport racing bump steer kit: https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/PELRS070.htm?pn=PEL-RS-070&gclid=Cj0KCQjwwuD7BRDBARIsAK_5YhU6UyhB96SdSEUZrS_W dl1YOM_8som2CmgPYh1s507qdZQQBcQ4r4saAgGuEALw_wcB Does anyone have experience with this? It seems lightyears simpler(and cheaper) than any other bump steer kit out there. I went with ER rubber CA bushings / sways , lemforder turbo tie rod kit, and ball joints. Thanks! |

The rack spacer bump steer kits have been around since before I got into the Porsche game, and that was 1991.
Those kits are for a basically stock car that is lowered to Euro or more. The tie-rod drop link kits are meant for raised spindle setups and very low ride heights. If you aren’t raising the spindles and are running around Euro height, the rack spacers are adequate.

Perfect, this should do it then. I plan on being 1/4 inch or so under euro ride height so this should do it. Thanks for the quick reply! I’ve got 2 days in the garage ahead of me, and an alignment/corner balance just in time for targa season (in Texas). |

You don't mention what year car you have, the only years that US cars had a ride height above 108mm was US 911 from '75 thru '83 where spec was 99mm, The lower the # the higher the car rides. the spacers aren't really needed until the car is dropped quite a bit from there the factory only uses them when the ride height gets down to ~120mm+/- and uses the o/s spindles ~160mm+/-
