I have heard that 70% of engine wear takes place in
the first few minutes after you Start Up your Engine. Does anyone know about Pre-oilers. Is this a DIY modification. Perhaps someone would want to go into business with me and we will make up a Prosche Lovers Pre-Oiler kit. ![]() Benson

A pre-oiler would solve a problem 911 motors don't have. That huge 911 oil pump sends oil to the bearings very quickly. I just did the rod bearings in my 944S2 and they looked like new (after 180Kmiles!) so even the water pumpers probably wouldn't benefit from pre-oiling.

I have a Accusump 2qt pre-oiler on my 1989 Jetta. It now has $276k miles on the original engine and it is still running strong. I didnt try real hard to figure out where to place pre-oiler in the 911
